The Mirror | Cancer Poem

May 9th, 2017 |

This is a poem I wrote that is about seeing myself physically as I was going through treatment. This moment described is the one of looking in the mirror, seeing myself bald, going through chemo, feeling exhausted, sad, and scared. I knew I was in that reflection somewhere, yet I couldn’t recognize the person staring back at me at that moment.
