Spending Summer At Home Ideas

We wait for summer anxiously and look forward to a time of relaxation and fun with concerts, vacations, BBQs, beaches, all sorts of gatherings with friends and family, ahh, what used to be common is now only but a dream. Your summer may have already been looking differently because of cancer and now it's even more limited due to the extra care we need to take because of social distancing. As all of our plans have been turned upside down, we’ve put together a list of #SummerAtHome ideas to help shake up your daily routine and bring some of the fun home.

Movies At Home

Missing the movie experience? This mini projector can bring the movies to you (and is probably a lot cheaper than tickets + popcorn in the long run!). Add in a Netflix Subscription and you will have hundreds of movies and TV shows to watch from the comfort of your bed, couch, or even backyard. You don't need a screen for this mini projector as just projecting onto a light wall will work just as effectively.

A nice PC speaker will help you bring some of that movie theater sound to your house as well. This can plug into any laptop or computer, and can be used in tandem with the projector. It also can plug into a phone if you are projecting from there!

What would the movies be without snacks? This air popper is a healthier alternative to the hot oil popcorn maker and works just as well. Just don't forget the kernels! Add some healthy organic candy, and you are set for a perfect movie night.

Music Lovers

Music lovers missing concerts can bring the concert experience home with this affordable JBL Bluetooth speaker!

Want to listen through headphones? Don't worry, these affordable Bluetooth headphones do the work.

Icy Summer Treats

The Ninja Blender can give you those smoothies, milkshakes, protein drinks, or Frappuccinos that you have been missing during quarantine for a fraction of the price. If you have limited counter space or want to avoid the bulkiness, it's small enough while still providing a satisfying drink.

Make your own ice pops with these molds, you can use a variety of juices to make delicious chilled summertime treats. You can even use the smoothies to make pops from.

Relaxing Outside

This inflatable lounger can be used indoors or outdoors to create a comfortable relaxation station for you and your family. It can also be portable for when you start to travel again and want to take it on a camping trip. It's a hammock alternative for those who do not have the ability to hang one up. If you prefer the more traditional summertime hammock, this indoor/outdoor one would be the perfect alternative to the lounger.

Relaxing at the pool is a great way to spend a summer afternoon, but that doesn't seem like a likely activity this summer. If you have a backyard, this inflatable pool will bring some of the fun to your home. It is perfect for adults to lounge in or for the kids to splash around in.

No outdoor relaxation is complete without a picnic blanket! These blankets will come in handy whether you are in your yard, at the park or the beach. They are waterproof and come with handles for easy folding and carrying. Bring one of the puzzles below and you're set for a few hours.

Activities For Kids...And Grown-Ups!

Kids who have been cooped up in the house are sure to be growing even more tired of quarantine than their adult counterparts. And parents are running out of ideas on how to keep them entertained for a few days, much less a few months! Here are some fun activities the whole family can enjoy.

This outdoor bubble wand is sure to bring hours of fun for the family. Pair it with an outdoor ring toss game set and you are up for hours of backyard fun.

Need an indoor activity? These Magic Scratch Art squares create far less mess than crayons or markers, and they bring the same hours of pure fun. And this Window Art set will create colorful pieces that will last for years to come.

Puzzles sales have been soaring and we can understand why! Puzzles are fun and challenging for any age and are available in pieces from 100s to 1000s from gradients to shaped puzzles and even panoramic ones. This is a great way to spend some time with your family or carve out some quiet time for yourself.
