It's been 6 months since my last writing here and am getting ready on May 17th to get my now yearly CT Scan for my cancer check up on May 24th. If this appointment goes well (fingers crossed) it will be 3 years cancer free for Testicular Cancer and on May 27th will be the official anniversary if the CT Scan goes according to plan. My urology appointment 2 weeks ago went really well and I am good to go there.
In the meantime in my last writing my weight loss was at 85 pounds and now as of this writing is 112 pounds and just met my goal this morning. My Dietitian has me eating foods that are good for me as far as cancer and diabetes goes. Not sure if I mentioned in my past writings I had the beginning stages of pre-diabetes and am below the level designated as having diabetes. My weight loss has been positive in keeping the cancer from becoming active as my cancer doctor continues to tell me. I have been able to stay active walking 2-3 miles a day or as my disability allows me to be.
My doctors continue to tell me how much of a success story I have become since they first saw me in July 2013 and 311 pounds. I plan on losing another 10 pounds and keeping cancer at bay and acing my next CT Scan.
