Survivor: Acute Myeloid Leukemia
I am a Survivor
I was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia in May 2011, at 17. I was given a tiny chance at survival, but like many of you here - and hopefully many, or most people in this world, I got out of it!
I now am studying medicine to become a doctor - hopefully the one who cures it all!
I'm not joking about the last part... recently I've come up with a tumour immunology method that is novel, and that may well present a new treatment pathway that activates the immune system against cancer!

But whatever happens with this... I'll continue to write to help other patients, and also educate doctors on how we like to be treated. The blog I write - Musings of a med Student Patient I do only to help others, and I hope to help and be insired by so many of you here!
You will always have a second way of looking at things... Sometimes you just need a friend, or a step back to see that...
