Breast Cancer
Approaching each yearly mammogram with great trepidation, I found myself in 2007
(at age 57) requiring additional tests. A biopsy indicated DCIS, ductal carcinoma in situ - non invasive breast cancer. The 3 month journey of lumpectomy, MRI's and sonograms lead to more biopsies and ultimately a bilateral mastectomy. And saying all that, I consider myself one of the very lucky ones. |
